Thoughtful children’s books crafted for bedtime.
About Nighttype Books
At Nighttype Books, our goal is to make bedtime cozier with beautifully illustrated, purposefully written stories designed for comfortable reading, even in softer evening light.
Nighttype began at a bedside. After many evenings with picture books that were lovely but hard to read at night, we set out to create stories that feel warm, unhurried, and truly readable when everyone is tired. Our pages favor clarity over clutter: the Lexend typeface for reading comfort, generous spacing, thoughtful line breaks, and art that settles the room rather than stirring it up. Our writing leans on immersive, descriptive narration that helps readers feel the story, not just hear it.
What sets us apart is simple: design and storytelling that serve the moment you actually live in - tired eyes, warm lamps, one more story. We obsess over pacing, rhythm, and the quiet details that help children wind down and help parents feel supported, not stressed.
This is also a movement. We want to bring nightly reading back into bedrooms around the world - with literacy and love at the center. To make that easier for families, we created a free Parent Guide with simple prompts, wind-down ideas, and early-literacy tips you can use tonight. It’s practical, gentle, and made to fit real life.
Lolli Stromboli & The Adventures of Mouse House
Nighttype Books will be a home for many age-appropriate series over time. Our first release, Lolli Stromboli & The Adventures of Mouse House, is a travel-themed picture-book series for ages 4–7 that invites gentle discovery and closes with a peaceful finish.
Book One: Targeting February 2026
Book Two: Targeting early spring 2026
Release months are estimates; exact on-sale dates will be announced on our website, via our launch list, and through our social channels.
Beyond the Lolli Stromboli series, Nighttype Books will grow to include other age-appropriate collections. Each will explore new themes and age ranges, but all will keep the same promise: calmer nights, cozy connection, and pages that are easy to love.
If this is your kind of bedtime, stay close! Join us on social media to be the first to know when new books are ready for your nightstand. Bond with us on Instagram and Facebook!
